Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about logos and branding. And honestly? I love it! It means business owners are thinking beyond the visuals and diving deeper into what truly makes a brand stand out.
Many people come to me thinking they just need a logo. But here’s the thing: a logo is just one piece of the puzzle. My goal isn’t to upsell—it’s to help you see the bigger picture so you can build something truly unforgettable.
Let’s break it down in a way that makes sense:
1. The Basics
Logo: A visual mark—like a signature—that represents your business. It’s the first impression, the face of your brand, the thing people recognize at a glance.
Brand: The entire experience of your business—your voice, your vibe, your story. It’s how people feel when they interact with you, from your website to your social media to the way you make them feel.
2. What’s Included?
Logo: Your symbol, typography, and color choice. Think of it as the front cover of your book.
Brand: Your voice, personality, messaging, values, customer experience—basically, the entire story inside the book.
3. The Purpose
Logo: Recognition—helping people instantly connect with your business.
Brand: Trust & loyalty—creating an emotional connection that keeps customers coming back.
4. Example Time!
Nike’s swoosh? That’s their logo—simple, powerful, iconic.
Nike’s brand? It’s empowerment, motivation, athleticism. It’s the way they make you feel when you see their ads, hear their messaging, or lace up your Nikes before a big run.
5. Short-Term vs. Long-Term
Logo: Designed once, may evolve over time.
Brand: Built over time through consistency, authenticity, and strategy.
